The A.O. Clock Tower was a modern landmark located near the Nazimabad Board Office in Karachi’s Central District. It was built in 2009 by the late orthopedic surgeon and educationist Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah to provide the area with a recognizable civic landmark.
- Purpose: To serve as a decorative landmark and clock tower for Karachi’s Central District.
- Demolished: The tower was removed during the construction of the Karachi Green Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor. Since it was a relatively recent structure and not a protected heritage monument, authorities stated that its removal was in the public interest.
